MEASURING OUR IMPACT

At MAES Paris we measure and communicate transparently the carbon footprint of all our vegan creations.

Relying on the methodological recommendations of the European Union, our partner Carbonfact assesses each of our vegan handbags and small leather goods and then compare the results to the average performance of the leather goods industry.

A CARBON FOOTPRINT OF 5.9kg

5.9 kilograms of CO2-equivalent emitted throughout the lifecycle of a bag, this is the average impact of our vegan creations.

This performance is the result of our rigourous work to select innovative vegan materials, as well as any component or material used to craft our products.

The investment of our partners to get access to greener energy (workshops located in France and increasing use of renewable energy - solar in particular) also plays a big role in such a low impact.

We are very proud of this first impact number (although it is just a beginning for us). But it take a whole different meaning when compared to the impact of common products.
